■Gion Miyako Odori (7-minute walk): April 1- 30

Performed at Gion Kobu Kaburenjo theater. Maiko/Geiko girls play Kyomai, the beautiful traditional dance of Kyoto, allowing customers to share graceful and elegant feelings.

■Shakuson Koutan Hana-matsuri (Flower Festival on Buddha's Birthday) (5-minute walk): April 8

At Ryozen Kannon. In the precincts where cherry trees are in full blossom, customers are able to really enjoy Koto music and outdoor tea ceremony.

■Jishu Jinja Sakura-matsuri (8-minute walk): Fourth Sunday of April

A Sakura-matsuri (cherry blossom festival) for the temple's guardian deity. Offering of flowers and tea, beginning at 10:00. Offering of Kiyomizu-renka (linked verses) and reading of Haiku, beginning at 13:00.
