Could you tell me which plans are the most popular?

The most popular plans at Honten include the Stroll Plan and the Outdoor Photography Plan, which allows customers to be out for a stroll and be taken photos outdoors. Sakuraten's most popular plans are the Sakura Plan and the Studio Photography Plan.

Is the Samurai Plan the only service available to men customers?

Yes. The Maiko/Geiko transformation service is not provided for men customers.

If it rains or snows, how does it affect the Stroll Plan and the Outdoor Photography Plan?

Customers who have chosen the Outdoor Photography Plan, the Stroll Plan, or the Highvision Photography Plan can change to a plan that uses the studio for photo-taking (Studio Photography Plan). Alternatively, they can cancel the reserved plan without any cancellation fee.

Where will we walk on the Stroll Plan?

Customers have a stroll around the sites near Honten, such as Ninen-zaka, Sannen-zaka, Kiyomizu-customers will walk in a group. Please note that eating and drinking, moving by vehicle (Jinrikisha is an exception), smoking, shopping, and traveling far from Kiyomizu-dera Temple (Honten) are all strictly prohibited during a stroll.

Can I extend the time duration of stroll? If so, do you charge an extension fee?

The time duration of stroll must be not more than 60 minutes. Time cannot be extended. Please note that eating and drinking, moving by vehicle (Jinrikisha is an exception), smoking, shopping, and traveling far from Kiyomizu-dera Temple (Honten) are all strictly prohibited during the walking.

Please tell me the amount of time required for each plan to be done?

The following is the list of the amount of time for each plan, meaning the length of time from when you visit us to when you leave us.
Note:that the amount of time for each plan will increase by 20 minutes in the peak seasons (April to mid-May and mid-September to early December).

Do I wear Katsura (wig) in the Samurai Plan?

No, the customers of the Samurai Plan do not wear Katsura.

If I select the Mini Outdoor Photography Plan with a 30-minute stroll, do I start from the point of the last photo taking session on location for the walking? Or, should I return to your shop building before starting the stroll?

You can start from the site of the last photo taking activity when it has been completed.

Are the fees for makeup, dressing, Katsura (a wig), and photography all included in the list price?

Yes, all fees are included in the list price.

Where should I take Jinrikisha if I use it instead of walking?? And when should I pay the fare?

Jinrikisha can be hired just in front of our shop. Please pay the fare at our front desk when you check out.

How different are Maiko-san and Geiko-san?

An apprentice Geiko is called Maiko, wearing beautiful floral hairpins, Furisode (long-sleeved Kimono) with its sleeves tucked at the shoulder and the hem lifted, long dangling Obi, and footwear called Okobo about 10cm in height. Geiko-san wears Shimada-katsura, Shiroeri (Kimono with white collar), Otaiko Obi, and Geta or Zori as footwear, offering a more adult-like atmosphere than Maiko-san.

Is a stroll available on the Samurai Plan?

Yes. Customers of the Samurai Plan can select a stroll of 60 minutes as an option for an additional charge of 3,150 yen.

Are transformation services available to children? Do you provide a Kimono dressing service for children?

Regardless of age, any child whose height is 135 cm or more can receive our transformation service.
