How can I come to your shop by bus?
Please see below for transportation information (the same for both Honten and Sakuraten)
- 【Access from JR Kyoto Station】
- Take the No. 206 bus at the D2 bus stop in the city bus terminal near the central exit (facing to Kyoto Tower) and get off at the Kiyomizu-michi bus stop (about 15 minutes).
- 【Access from Hankyu Kawaramachi Station】
- Take the No. 207 bus (eastward) at one of the bus stops along Shijo Street and get off at the Kiyomizu-michi bus stop (about 5 minutes).
- 【Access from Keihan Shijo Station】
- Take the No. 207 bus (eastward) at one of the bus stops along Shijo Street and get off at the Kiyomizu-michi bus stop (about 5 minutes).
How long does it take to get to your shop from Kyoto Station?

- About 10 minutes by taxi. It would take about 15 minutes (time of ride) by bus, but the overall time, including time spent waiting at a bus stop and walking to our shop location, would be 30 to 40 minutes.
How should I tell the driver when I take a taxi?
If you are coming to Honten, please tell the taxi driver either to drive Higashimaya Street, turn into Kodai-ji Temple, and then stop just short of the Japanese restaurant Kyoyamato, or to drive to Ninen-zaka near Kiyomizu-dera Temple. If you are coming to Sakuraten, tell the taxi driver to drive to the location near Kyoto Bank whose address is "Higashiyama Matsubara Agaru."
Can you arrange a taxi to your shop for me when I am leaving?
Unfortunately, the street in front of Honten is a pedestrian precinct, and vehicles are banned from entering. Please walk about 100m, where you can find many taxis for hire. At Sakuraten, you can catch a taxi just in front of the shop building.
Do you have parking facilities for customers? If not available, can I find pay parking lots near there?
No customer parking facilities are available both at Honten and Sakuraten. There are many pay parking lots in the neighborhood, and please use one of those lots.
