Shiki hospitality

Even after more than 1,000 years, the buildings that line the path along the approach to Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto still evoke resonances of the ancient capital. Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka in particular retain remnants of ancient Kyoto and have been designated an important area by the city of Kyoto.

Shiki’s Head Shop is located along the long stone-paved street of Ninenzaka which is closed off to the traffic. Shiki’s Sakura Branch is located near Gion, a 10-minute walk away from the Head Shop.

Since our opening, we have continued to uphold our spirit of hospitality by helping our foreign customers in particular create fond memories through their wonderful experience of Japanese traditional culture.

Our highly skillful makeup, kimono fitting and photography staff work together to create ultimate beauty for our customers.
We have staff members who can speak English, Chinese, Italian and Spanish to help our customers feel at ease.

Please come to experience the beauty of a Maiko (Geisha), a part of Japanese traditional culture.

We warmly await your visit.

Sincerely,
Okami (Head Hostess)
